Sorry for the blurry photo of my gentle Friday night sewing. I haven't had chance to look at the other Friday nighters but perhaps this evening after tea. I was also lucky enough to sew with three friends on Saturday. Today I wanted to garden but strained my back very quickly, so came in and sewed.

Antique Rose Star
I forgot to blog about my lovely weekend last June when I went to The Traditional Group Retreat. My tutor was Barbara Chainey and we hand pieced the antique rose without papers. I finished my block later. Barbara had prepared a comprehensive course and she also gave a presentation on the Friday evening.
I've left my toes in, to show the size!
I am still undecided as to how to use it.

Christmas Card Swap 2016
Many thanks to Amy from Love Made My Home who organised the Christmas card swap. My Christmas Card Swap partner was Wendy from September Violets. I love Christmas and this wonderful polar bear on snowshoes makes me smile.
I haven't posted since last January and I'm rather rusty and hope the link works.
Here hopefully is my card from Wendy.

I'm sorry the photo is so poor, the weather has been foul today.
Thank you Wendy for the lovely card.
If this works there will be more blog posts to follow with my projects from the last year, a lot were test patterns for The Quilt Pattern Magazine and I have to keep them under wraps till they're published.

1 Xmas Item A Month January 2015
The weather here is still mostly overcast and dark. I took photos anyway, although as usual I wish they were better.
I hope blogger lets me add them.
Well here they are but I forgot to rotate them!!!
My first attempt at binding the hexagons was appalling but improved with practice. I need to chose my next project for February. Something different, I have seen a cute small wall hanging to applique or a table runner.
Now to check inspiration from others on the 1XIAM blog.

2016 FAL
Now if only I could remember how to do add the logo to this post and my side bar.
One of my quilts to be finished has disappeared into thin air so I am going with less this time.
1, My Temecula mini from a few years ago only needs binding again, I made a mess the first time, I couldn't leave it like that and unpicked it.
I an unable to post pictures, (thanks Blogger) at the moment but will add later.
2. Two Christmas mug rugs need finishing only the fronts hexied.
3. Last years virtual retreat quilt from The Quilt Pattern Magazine. Blocks made, sashing and corner stones cut, borders cut.
As soon as Blogger lets me I'll post pictures.

FNSWF

As soon as I plan to sew, something crops up. So only working on my one Christmas item a month. I am starting off with a pair of Christmas mug rugs. Most of my time was taken up with tidying my craft room.
Today yet more tidying, I still can't find a nearly completed quilt. It seems to have disappeared into thin air. I've got to the stage of looking in places I've already checked!!! I'd much rather be sewing.

12 Days of Christmas
Hazel (http://hazelsworldofjoy.blogspot.co.uk/) has sent a lovely parcel of goodies for the 12 Days of Christmas swap organised by Jo (http://jo-throughthekeyhole.blogspot.co.uk/). The little packages are intriguing shapes, they are not numbered, so it will be interesting to see which shape I go for first on the 25th December.
Here they are this evening, under the angel tree on the landing.
I am just finishing off another swap for a mugrug, to go the States.
I will post photos tomorrow.
