A gorgeous sunny day here, but quite cold on the walk round the block. Still icy in the shade. After a busy active couple days it's been nice to get back to sewing. This is the first of the snowmen from Snow Happy Ornament Fun by Bunny Hill Designs. I hope to make one each month, This angel one still needs the embroidered arms and halo. I've prepared a few more months to give me a head start. Simple pleasure of choosing different coloured felts for each block. I'm not sure if I will make individual ornaments or sash together as a wall hanging, there's plenty of time to decide.
The back ground fabric is a hessian colour and works well with the felt. I've enjoyed using blanket stitch with matching embroidery thread around the edges.
I hope to join you all next week,
Josie aka Alcea Rosea

ReplyDeleteI'm actually preparing the first four months, so that I've got some hand sewing to do always with me.

DeleteThat is the cutest snowman - love the expression on his face!
ReplyDeleteThank you, the designs are lovely, my placing of the individual pieces of felt aren't always!
DeleteYour little angel snowman is adorable...such a sweet, sweet face.
ReplyDeleteThank you, he was fun to sew. I'm not sure how much embellishment I need to add. I will try not to spoil the original design.
DeleteWhat a darling snowman! Isn't wool fun to work with?! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was my first wool work and I was so pleased it worked as I've acquired a few wool applique patterns.
