I managed to get a couple of hours in the greenhouse and garden before it started raining. So back indoors for coffee and sewing. I've finished January and February Snow Happy Ornaments.
Now to continue stitching March.
These are such fun to sew, I've been preparing more blocks but need to find better matches for the embroidery floss for some of the wool felt.
Happy slow sewing.

Slow Sunday Stitching
A gorgeous sunny day here, but quite cold on the walk round the block. Still icy in the shade. After a busy active couple days it's been nice to get back to sewing. This is the first of the snowmen from Snow Happy Ornament Fun by Bunny Hill Designs. I hope to make one each month, This angel one still needs the embroidered arms and halo. I've prepared a few more months to give me a head start. Simple pleasure of choosing different coloured felts for each block. I'm not sure if I will make individual ornaments or sash together as a wall hanging, there's plenty of time to decide.
The back ground fabric is a hessian colour and works well with the felt. I've enjoyed using blanket stitch with matching embroidery thread around the edges.
I hope to join you all next week,
Josie aka Alcea Rosea

Slow Sunday Stitching
First an apology for not replying to last weeks comments. I have been busy tidying up my craft room looking for parts of projects that need finishing. I've finished the last three blocks of row B of Dear Jane.
Oops, I thought I'd resized them to a better size.
The last picture is C1 parts to be assembled. I had fun with the orientation whilst cutting the pieces. I do hope to get some sewing in as well as cutting and ironing the next blocks.
The sun was out long enough for a walk round the block before lunch.
Happy Sewing.

Slow Stitching Sunday
I need to add the link whatsit to my sidebar but I'm too tired. I have been de-Christmasing the house most of the day. I did hand sew the binding on Alfie's pyjamas whilst listening to the radio.I chickened out of the trousers and shirt and made the easier pyjamas.
I have not sewn my Dear Jane, so that is next on my wish list. I shall blog read later.
