Here I aim to keep a record of my projects during 2025.
Not something I've been good at recently.
I am working on Anne Brooke's 52 Words and What's Sewing on.
The first word was Layer and it is being demonstrated in an 18 inch hoop.
I'm sewing on fifty two 3 1/2 inch blocks to see how it goes.
So far I have these.
With more to be added in future weeks.

The snow and lack of sun has made it hard to get the shades of blue correct.
A busy day volunteering at my local library.
Story and rhyme with the little ones this morning.
Changing the displays from Christmas to winter.
Plus a pneumonia jab at the medical centre this afternoon.
Tired this evening so just pinning some autumn bunting.
Oh dear, the colours are rubbish. I'll try to improve it tomorrow.
The heavy rain all day has made it dark and miserable.

Hello, a new year with a chance to improve in so many ways.
Regular blogging, I'll try.
More photos, I need to take more and use some of the features on my camera.
Continue with my healthier eating, much better last year.
Make more effort to improve my fitness.
I did get a chance to sew today.
A simple notebook cover, for a winter display at my local little library.
I forgot to post a picture of my finished knitting bag.
I have been crafting since my last post months ago.
Just dipping in and out.
I decided to get my Sashiko supplies out.
It is years since I did a short course with Susan Briscoe at a Quilters Guild conference.
I'm not sure if the photos will look clear or distorted.
The pretend fabric, I added stitching to, is for a rice bag that I making from directions from The Quilt Show.
Well after feeling rubbish for most of December I then started coughing and sneezing again on Christmas day.
Now I'm feeling better but not much sewing has happened, I've knitted socks in stead.
Today I have been sewing the stems down ready for the flowers, which might be attached later today.
I did get a load of washing done and a pile of ironing this morning finished.
A walk in the drizzly rain this afternoon, it looks like it's here for the rest of the day.
I hope everyone who wanted to sew has had the chance to.

Not such a good day, horrible sore throat and swollen glands.
Instead of sewing I've been aran knitting, easier to do when I can't concentrate.
I had planned on stitching some of the stems down.
Ah well, perhaps tomorrow.
Yet more football on tv tonight,
I will look at other blogs instead to see what everyone's doing.

Strange year, covid struck early February and I think is still affecting me.
I get tired very easily but this post is not all about that.
I have been sewing on my Lucy Boston Patchwork.
Also some simple bag sewing for a small pirate.
Here are some Lucy blocks finished in September.
I think that is all for now, I'll save some for another post.

C3 Rayelle's Fence. this little Dear Jane has been sitting half sewn for too long. I got side tracked by Lucy Boston.
Now to prepare a few more blocks for slow stitching Sundays.

I finished basting the third month of blocks for Lucy Boston. I will not be able to use my craft room soon,
due to a new bathroom being fitted.
These blocks can be sewn anywhere.
It has been fun to sew with friends around the world. After tea I hope to comment on some blogs.

I finished last weeks block.
I aslo finished the next block.
Now I'm prepping the next section of quilt blocks,
It is great as the kit comes with a good mixture of joining blocks each month. I wouldn't have enjoyed sewing them all in one go.
Dismal damp day so I'm not going for a walk, just next door to feed their guinea pigs.

I managed to get a little sewing done, plus a walk in the cold, damp mist. Lovely to get home to sew. Then cooking Sunday main meal, a little more sewing.
Back to Monday, bathroom cleaning, washing towels etc.

I have a Lucy Boston block to sew today, I love the fabrics.
I enjoyed stitching with others from F.N.S.I. Lots of lovely projects to see on the facebook group.
I finished my Lucy Boston block.
Well, so many things I have sewn since last February, there has also been knitting and gardening.
If I can remember exactly what I've made or started I'll try and add photos each day.
Today the 1st December is a skirt for Luna, that is this evenings sewing.
She is off as a Christmas present, with her pyjamas packed.
I was able to dip in and out all day with the weather being cold and wet in the U.K.
I need to finish this sock and start on it's pair. Just the toe decreasing to go.
I also started sewing down the stems on the Cherokee Rose block, the some basting on the leaves in the evening.

Anyway, I'm going to attempt to make Christmas decorations through the year.

I've also finished the wreath block this week.
Now onto Cherokee Rose the Georgia block.
With the snow still lying and freezing fog it was good to be indoors sewing with friends. I did some more to the wreath block. Just five leaves to sew down tonight. I've just noticed that I've not yet added the centre pieces.
I also started my, Sugar Plum Parish Christmas Wool Applique Ornaments.
I've done some work on the Songbird Christmas Tree.
These I hope will be sewn, one each month.
Tomorrow, Sunday, I hope to visit the other FNwF blogs.

Thank you to Cheryll for hosting Friday Night with Friends, I managed to do my sewing in the morning and afternoon in the U.K. Hopefully whilst others were sewing around the world. The snow didn't appear as forecast but there was a cold wind from the north.
Some progress on my wreath block.
I hope to sew again this afternoon. We are allowed to exercise for an hour outside, so I'll be going for a walk as well. Now time to make my salad for lunch,

After basting all the shapes for this wreath it's time to start the applique. I find the overlay really helps with the placement of the pieces.
I'm not going to walk today, my housemaids knee was too painful yesterday. I have washed the bedding and refilled all the bird feeders. We'll be lucky to get above freezing today, so the poor birds are very happy to be fed.
Unfreezing the various bird baths was also necessary.
